Parker trying to decide if he like the Baby Einstein play center

We took the boys to see Great Grandma Wortman last week. She got so excited to see them. We made her day! She feels my pain. She chased my dad and his twin sister around while still taking care of her 3 other sons!

Sweet Great Grandma Reinhardt with Preston. She has been praying for me to get pregnant for so long and it made me cry this first time she held our boys. :)

My friend Courtney came and took pictures 3 weeks ago of the boys. Here are some of the ones she took-http://anthologieimages.com/blog/?p=407anthologie

This photo shoot was so funny. Parker was screaming his head off the whole time, peeing and pooping everywhere, while Preston just chilled. So sorry Courtney. I will post some of the other pics she took very soon!

We Are Getting So Big!

Last Friday we went to see our pediatrician Dr. Paroulo. We love him and Rodney and I were so excited to see how much weight the boys had gained. Preston went from 4 lbs 4 oz to 5 lbs 6 oz and Parker went from 5 lbs 6 oz to 6 lbs 6 oz! Wow! Dr. also told us that we could spread out the night time feedings to 4 hours or so! That is the best news EVER!

Miss Katie and Miss Audrey came by to see us. They brought mommy and daddy Moo-ya and yummy cupcakes. They are both pregnant with possible girlfriends for us.

The Boys Are 3 Weeks Old!

So the boys turned 3 weeks on Feb 19th and we can't believe how much they have grown since they were born. They are getting bigger by the day and each have their own distinct personalities. Parker, otherwise known as "Porker" would eat forever if you let him. He is definitely and child who knows what he wants and that he wants it right this second. He is a bit dramatic, but we love that about him. Brother Preston on the other hand, is a calm spirit. He knows that we are going to feed him, change him, and take care of him. He rarely fusses or gets upset. Not really sure whose child this is bc y'all know that Rodney and I are pretty intense people and are not laid back in the least bit. Identical twins with completely opposite personalities. We can't wait to see if this continues when they get older.

Will you be Preston's Valentine?

The Boys Are Here!

So I know I have been a horrible blogger but I have a good excuse....I am a mommy now! It all started Thursday night, February 4th, around midnight. My water broke and we headed to the hospital around 2:45 am. I was not sure if my water had broken at first and then about an hour later, I started having contractions. We decided to head to the hospital and sure enough, I had not peed myself, I was in labor. Most of y'all knew that we were planning an induction for Feb 10th, but the boys wanted to start their birthday a little early. After a few hours at the hospital, the contractions were close together and more intense. I decided it was time for the epidural. Thank God for that thing. Within a few minutes I felt nothing...and was loving every minute of it. Anyhow, my awesome nurse came in and told me had dilated to a 9!!! I thought she was lying. The called Dr. B and we were go for delivery. I was so scared but everyone there at Baylor Frisco was wonderful. Within minutes my first precious angel Preston David was born. 7 minutes later, my second precious angel Parker Neal arrived. Preston was born at 10:09 am and was 4 lbs, 4 oz. Brother Parker was born at 10:16 and was 5 lbs 6 oz. I cannot express that feeling when they placed both my boys in my arms. It's like Rodney and I had finally seen what we had prayed for for the longest time. We are finally all at home now. Rodney and I were released with Parker on Feb. 7th. They were concerned with Preston right after birth. He was so tiny and had no body fat to keep himself warm. His blood sugar was low and he had an apnea episode. Preston basically stopped breathing for about 15-20 seconds. He was so tiny and this is common in preemies. They immediately took him to the NICU for monitoring. That was horrible. Here we went from having the 2 boys in our room to only having one. They wanted to keep him there for 5 days. That was the hardest thing ever. While we were in the hospital, Rodney and I tried to split time between the 2 boys. The NICU nurses were great. They let us bring Parker down each night to hang out with brother. That was amazing. We were discharged with Parker on Saturday and picked up Preston on Tuesday. We are all at home now and doing great. Rodney and I love being parents and cannot believe how much we love these little guys. Here are some pictures of the boys. Enjoy!

Getting Close!

Sorry that I have been a bad blogger. I've just been so busy...just kidding. So, here's the update. I am now 35 weeks along and went to the specialist this afternoon. Everything looks great with the boys. They have strong hearts, organs, blood flow, fluid, etc. Preston is now 4 lbs 12 oz. and Parker is 5 lbs 11 oz! Are you kidding me? The last time I went, they were 4 lbs and 4 lbs 6 oz. This is because of my mom's cooking. :) I started to worry about the difference in weight but the specialist was not concerned. He said that they fill up their stomachs and then empty them out all the time. Parker's little tummy was full at the time he measured them so he thinks that was why he appeared so big. I had just had some Chick-fil-a and I think Parker ate the entire meal himself. He said that everything looked good and that we were getting very close. I go to Dr. B tomorrow for another appointment. She will check everything out and we might have a delivery plan! Hopefully, my appointment won't be cancelled bc of this stupid ice storm that everyone is freaking out about.
